We recommend booking a time slot for your visit to MYTHOS MOZART in advance and reporting to the Welcome Desk up to 15 minutes before the start. Spontaneous visits without pre-booking are also possible depending on the occupancy. Tickets booked online will be validated again at the Welcome Desk and replaced with a printed ticket.

MYTHOS MOZART occupies the entire lower level of the STEFFL Department store on Kärntner Strasse 19 in the heart of Vienna, just a few steps from St. Stephen's Cathedral and the State Opera.

SKY - best view in town!
Directly above MYTHOS MOZART on the 7th floor you will find our SKY Café & Restaurant with a large roof terrace and the most beautiful panoramic view over St. Stephen's Cathedral and Vienna city centre. The SKY Café & Restaurant accessible by lift is open MON-SAT from 10 a.m.- 12 a.m. and SUN and holiday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

For an even more intense and in-depth experience, MYTHOS MOZART can be experienced with an audio guide via a web app. This not only provides background information about Mozart's life, but also gives more in-depth information about the various rooms that make up the unique experience of MYTHOS MOZART. Barrier-free access
MYTHOS MOZART is located on the lower level of STEFFL Department Store on Kärntner Straße 19.
The panorama lift on the outside of the building will take you to the entrance level. From there you have barrier-free access to the Welcome Desk, the cloakroom, and the toilets, and then you move on to the event rooms and to the lifts to the Department Store and SKY Café & Restaurant (door width 110 cm, cabin dimensions: 185 x 270 cm).

Do I need to book online?
If you would like to come at a specific time, please book your timeslot ONLINE in advance and check in at the Welcome Desk up to 15 minutes before your visit is about to start.
Can I visit MYTHOS MOZART without pre-booking?
Spontaneous visits without advance booking are possible depending on capacity constraints. However, since the number of visitors is very limited, we recommend booking online, which can easily be done using your mobile phone.
How long does MYTHOS MOZART take?
The tour of MYTHOS MOZART takes about an hour. Please be at the Welcome Desk 15 minutes before the start to collect your printed ticket.
What are the current COVID protective measures?
Your safety and that of our employees is very important to us. At the moment there are no restrictions or requirements such as a test or vaccination certificate needed at MYTHOS MOZART.
Please use the contactless payment option at the Welcome Desk and in the shop – and refrain from visiting if you suspect you may have COVID-19.
Can I bring a backpack into the event rooms?
No – there are lockers for backpacks and larger bags in the entrance area. There is also a guarded cloakroom available for you to use for free. Allow for extra time if you are planning on using the cloakroom when booking your timeslot in advance.
Can I take pictures?
Yes, for your personal use. Selfie sticks, tripods and flash photography are however prohibited at MYTHOS MOZART out of consideration for all other visitors inside. If you plan to bring your smartphone, please keep it in silent mode. You are welcome to tag us on social media!
I have limited mobility – can I visit MYTHOS MOZART?
MYTHOS MOZART is located in the basement of the Steffl department store at Kärntner Strasse 19.
Elevators in the department store and the panoramic elevator on the outside of the building at Kärntner Strasse 19 will take you to the entrance level. From there you have barrier-free access to the Welcome Desk, the cloakroom and the toilets, as well as the adventure rooms and via the indoor lifts to the Department Store and the SKY Café & Restaurant (door width 110 cm, cabin dimensions: 185 x 270 cm).
Is MYTHOS MOZART safe?
All rooms are under video surveillance to protect your safety. In MYTHOS MOZART (especially in room 5 ‘Magic Flute’) there are strong visual stimuli. The visit is not suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy. We recommend hearing protection for young children and people who are sensitive to noise.
